Every week we spend around $200. Sometimes it's less. Most times it's not.... We receive food donations from community members. These help offset the cost, and we're able to increase our portions. Copied: Last Wednesday, September 23rd, we had the opportunity to speak at an amazing event hosted by @esn.to.4real to advocate for housing. As people with first-hand experience with homelessness this was an event we were so excited for! This initiative, This Way Up, was founded by four youth living in a shelter. We got together one summer day and decided to cook a meal for people who were protesting. One meal le...d to another, and the rest is history. We now provide meals and art programming weekly, but this is just the beginning for us. We have gained and lost a few along the way, but the goal of our group has always remained the same.
