Its been a while! Winter is taking one last stand or at least I hope. March 30 and -12. Looking forward to the promise of spring and the opportunity to get back to the earth. Planting long season vegetables seeds like sweet pepper and tomatoes. The soil awakens my soul, reminds me of the promise of mother nature for another season of growth and gathering the goodness she offers to those who tend to her. I was reminded this evening of the simple gifts we have been granted. E...ven in this difficult time of social distancing during this Covid 19 pandemic there is a light and we all need to do our part to keep it brightly shining. We all need to do our part to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of this deadly virus. Stay home, and when we must go out practice distance and hygiene. Don't hoard. I cannot say this enough. We live in a place and time where is more than enough to go around. It broke my heart to see empty shelves in the grocery store. To think those that only can shop monthly could not get basic supplies needed such as soap, toilet paper, sanitizers such as household bleach, and hand sanitizer. I did notice today that one could get eggs, dairy, fresh vegetables and some meat. Here at Frostfall we continue to deliver fresh eggs weekly to our regular customers. We also have jams and jellies made with honey and our garden relish made from what our farm provided us. Our fresh produce remains seasonal. I look forward spring and and the growing season ahead. In the meantime....stay safe and healthy for this too shall pass. See more

This time of year makes me happy sad. The leaves are turning and the harvest is drawing to a close. Soon we will be planting garlic and bedding down the tender perennials (planted some hardy grapes). The garden yielded a generous harvest despite the wet summer. Our pantry will be well stocked for the winter months.
