Did you know there is a CSA Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace? It includes a guideline on the prevention, promotion, and guidance to a staged implementation of resources to protect the mental health of workers on your farm. The Standard includes: Outline of the Psychological health and safety management system such as identification, assessment & control, managing change, education, awareness, and communication, and competence and training.... The standard includes a review process to ensure the goals of the program are being met. Don’t forget to take a look at the appendix. Valuable resources are in the appendix to include: a. Background information on mental health at work b. Workplace factors affecting psychological health and safety c. Resources to building the framework for your farm specific program d. Sample implementation models e. Sample audit tools f. Scenarios for implementation g. Discussion on regulations and legislation referring to psychological health in the workplace in Canada Log into your CSA Communities account to download your copy. It is free. Don’t have an account?
