A new (final) post on our website... http://www.farsidefarm.ca/2020/10/22/the-end/
The recent rain and mild temperatures have put the garden (and weeds) into overdrive. Most of the tomatoes are still green, but the Brussels sprouts and leeks are fattening up.
The farm has been sold. It is bittersweet; we are off on a new adventure in November, and will be living close to our son and daughter-in-law. The new owners will not be continuing the sheep farming, so the flock is being dispersed to local farmers. We know this lovely community will welcome them, and believe they will care for this lovely property as we have.
Fog. Lots of fog. It's called Faugust for a reason. This, folks, is why a ripe tomato is something you buy out here. My plentiful crop of green tomatoes will be chutney someday. Sigh.
The farm is for sale! Your chance to own a piece of paradise. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158955891082868&id=605142867
