Hey Father’s House Church! We are super excited to be hanging out with you on December 27, for our Christmas service on Zoom! It will be a fun night to share testimonies, have our virtual Secret Santa, showcase our gingerbread house building skills, and to catch up with each other! Most importantly we will be celebrating the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ who is the very reason for why we gather! Can’t wait to see you there!! For the past few weeks, each of us has seen and experienced the toll COVID-19 has had on our lives and the lives of our loved ones. We have been praying and praising, and look forward to the day we can all meet again! In the meantime, we invite you to turn your prayers and attention to our vulnerable communities experiencing ever increasing hardship. Two organizations we’d like to highlight are the Union Gospel Mission and The Salvation Army. The Union Gospel Mission and Salv...ation Army have teamed up with a goal to raise $2 million dollars in the next two weeks for Emergency Relief to struggling communities. This is their mission Union Gospel Mission and The Salvation Army (British Columbia Division) have partnered, creating the COVID Relief Together initiative to assist individuals and families in need of emergency relief and basic necessities. We’re all in this together, and we need your help to raise $2 million in two weeks to care for our neighbours impacted by COVID-19 during these difficult times. You’ll provide everything from meals and care packages to counselling and shelter services to people most affected by this crisis. Your gift will offer essential relief to fellow British Columbians during and after the pandemic. We hope you are doing well in quarantine despite the changes we’re all experiencing right now! Please know, we have been thinking about you and praying for you all. In the gospels we can see God’s authority and sovereignty in Jesus’ ministry. Jesus had the authority to heal the sick & lame, cast out demons and had authority over death. We are reminded that through His sacrificial death, he rose again in where He is victorious over death! Jesus came to die and pay the price of... sin for all humanity meaning He would defeat sin, death, and Satan. This is a reminder that there is great peace and hope in Jesus’ sacrifice. It allows us to realize that God has control of this disease. We hope this gives you great joy, knowing that God is more powerful than this disease. As we continue to adjust to the new normal We pray that you would trust in Jesus, and trust that He would get us through these times. We are in this together as a church, to hold onto the truth, especially when it seems at times impossible. God is for us, He is not against us. Isaiah 41:10 tells us: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. You are in the Palm of my hand. See more
