It’s the shuffle! And Aja does it weekly, if not daily! I’m (Kait) always ordering and she’s always displaying. And she does a fantastic job! With all these beautiful new pots/stands and baskets, we are expecting new plants in sometime today too!... Tap on photo for product details.

There’s something about the shape of these pots that is so satisfying. I love how Aja styled these shelves by grouping the different sizes of pots. We are open today for curbside pick up and in store shopping from 11am to 6pm.

Do you buy yourself Christmas presents? I did this year! I’m so easy to buy for. And it’s the new @bergspotter pottery that came in! I have drooling over these for well over a year. The hardest part was selecting which plants of mine would go into these four pots. I’ve committed to all but one. The Chinese Evergreen on the left is just hanging out in the nursery pot. I think it’s a winner though!

Check out the crown molding on this aptly named Elizabeth Pot from the Berg Pottery Collection. When turned upside down, this beautiful pot has a ! I thought I was finished writing this caption however one of our team member’s Cassidy just threw a fun fact at us. She met Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 in Lumsden and gifted her fresh cut from her mother’s garden!

A sign of Christmas?! I’d say so! Poinsettias bring a punch of colour and warmth in your home each holiday season! Care... - bright, indirect light, as close to a window without the direct sun touching it’s leaves. An east facing window is okay with some morning sunshine. Or display farther back from a sunny window. Water when the top of the soil feels dry, making sure to discard any excess water that may drain. Belonging to the Euphorbia family, Poinsettias have a milky latex sap that can be irritating to the skin so do handle with care. Keep out of reach of pets and children as varying degrees of discomfort will result if ingested due to the plant’s low levels of toxicity.

Floor Pothos?! Yes it’s a thing! These trailing beauties look stunning spilling out of a basket! If the vines get too long, it’s a great opportunity to give your Pothos a haircut and propagate those cuttings!

Casted, Sanded, Sealed, Potted. Repeat. Here are a few of the pots that were poured yesterday and revealed today! They were sanded. And will now hang out and cure for an additional few days before we apply two coats of sealant.... My plan is to have these up on the website late next week allowing you to order online for curbside or in store pick up, or delivery. Now to name this collection? What comes to mind for you?!

December 1st, that use to be my date for decorating for Christmas! But every year it keeps getting earlier and earlier. Our dark winter evenings are so much better when they are lit up by a ChristmasTree.... This isn’t the same with Christmas music! I can only listen to that for a few days leading up to the 25th! Are you an early Christmas decorator?

When everyone’s rooting for you to fail... Foster fail that is! And we did just that! Our current foster pup Miguel, now named Jet, has officially become apart of our family! ... In time we hope Jet will be a four legged Fat Plant team member eager to greet you at the shop. We are going to work on some basic training first!
