The ship HARLOW LORAN Near the western end of the Middle Channel , where it flows into Lake St . Clair ' s Anchor Bay , behind green marker buoy # 13 ; the wreck is clearly marked on charts . The wooden steam barge , Harlow ( 154 ' x 34 ' 4 " X 10 ' 7 " ) , was launched as the Preston in 1891 at Green Bay , WI , and renamed in 1902 . In 1926 , when the old ship had outlived its usefulness , it was sunk as a breakwall instead of being scrapped . The hull and prop remain .
