Elisabeth Perreault is a fiber artist based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal) and a recent graduate from Concordia University with a BFA. Elisabeth expresses herself through mixed media sculptural installations that take on the form of surrealist allegories. Diverse shapes of the human body, animal bodies, and common everyday objects embodies the works of her practice. The narratives of her works are influenced by her feminist identity, inspired by realities close to her and her familial background. She sees fabric as being reminiscent of the human body and as a vessel to transmit intangible concepts such as ideas, memory, emotions, sensations and time.
