INFORMATION BULLETIN COVID-19 NOVEMBER 17, 2020 The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 is under Enhanced Status on the Provincial Relaunch Status Map as of November 16, 2020. This status change includes all communities within the MD’s limits including... Claresholm. Areas under Enhanced Measures have additional measures in place including: Mandatory measures Restaurants, bars, lounges and pubs must stop liquor sales by 10pm and close by 11pm - applies to Class A, B or C licences. 15-person limit on social and family gatherings - indoors and outdoors - where people are mixing and mingling. 50-person limit on indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies and funeral services. Voluntary measures No social gatherings inside your home or outside of your community. Instead, socialize outdoors or in structured settings, like restaurants or other business that are subject to legal limits and take steps to prevent transmission. Limit of 3 cohorts: your core household, your school, and one other sport or social cohort. Young children who attend child care can be part of 4 cohorts. Wear a mask in all indoor work settings, except when alone in a workspace or an appropriate barrier is in place. Employers in office settings should implement measures to reduce the number of employees in the workplace at one time. Faith-based gatherings limited to 1/3 capacity at one time. The measures related to group fitness, group performance, and team sport activities do not apply to our area at this time. Additional information on the new measures can be found here, along with guidance on gatherings and cohorts, as well as masking best practices. Questions can be sent to [email protected] or by phoning 403-625-3381 during business hours.

SURPRISE!!! Well not really, there are new AHS regulations. When I listened to Dr. Hinshaw last night I felt stronger than ever to pray for her. As she gave the info, you could hear and see her care for people, her tiredness and frustration. Then I later attended an Elder’s meeting and again heard the Covid frustration and I also clearly heard the love for this church and community in what they had to say. Leaders have a big job! They have had to make choices,... mulled over, and prayed over, asking the Lord for guidance and wisdom. These choices are not popular to everyone. AHS say we are now in an Enhanced area, so we need to follow extra regulations. A couple changes that will directly affect FCBC worship services and small groups are: 15-person limit on social gatherings indoor and outdoor. Faith based gatherings limited to 1/3 capacity at one time. 170 is our capacity so we are allowed 56 to attend the Sunday service and encouraged to wear masks indoors. As usual we ask folks to sign in, wash hands regularly, use the sanitizer and wear masks while singing. I’m hoping this will go back to the ‘normal’ limit soon. Starting next week, on Wednesday, November 25, if we are still in an Enhanced area, we will have in place a way for you to preregister/reserve a seat at the Sunday service..I know some of you are rolling your eyes and I’m sorry. I understand this is hard. On everyone. FCBC is expected to abide by the limit and we pray that everyone will be understanding. Please take time to read the attachment from the Town of Claresholm. Please continue to pray for all our leaders. See more

I read this yesterday in my devotions, and I always wonder how Peter would have felt when he opened the mouth of the fish to find a coin inside. Please read this very interesting gospel account below and feel free to provide any insights you may have as you read. Matthew 17:24-27 New International Version The Temple Tax... 24 After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax? 25 Yes, he does, he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. What do you think, Simon? he asked. From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxesfrom their own children or from others? 26 From others, Peter answered. Then the children are exempt, Jesus said to him. 27 But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.
