There is always a way to help! We volunteered at Mamas for Mamas last year a local charity in Kelowna, BC that gives back to families in so many wonderful ways. When Dominique walked into Mamas for Mamas she was self-conscious about her hair. She told us it was messy, her scalp felt bad, and it embarrassed her. She had been living on the streets for 2 years and was focused on overcoming her addictions and reuniting with her children. She found the courage to ask for help,... get clean and overcome her fears. There’s nothing embarrassing about that and we were proud to watch her confidence and joy shine as we cut her hair. Her advice to us was: People have to overcome the fear of being judged or embarrassed or looked at differently if they ask for help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
