UPDATED GUIDELINES In accordance with the directives of Alberta Health Services, Feather + Fir Beauty has instituted the following guidelines to keep both myself and my clients safe during this time: 1. Although the health directives do not specifically state that clients have to wear masks during face-to-face services, I am recommending that my clients wear a mask in order to protect both of us. I will be wearing a mask throughout the entire service. 2. Alberta Health Servic...es has mandated that hand sanitizer and a hand washing station be available to clients. I will have hand sanitizer and soap and water available for clients to use before and after their service. I will be sanitizing my hands throughout the service. 3. Please do not bring any guests. This limits a possible exposure and is in accordance with physical distancing in my studio. 4. If you have experienced fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, or difficulty breathing or have come in contact with someone who is experiencing those symptoms in the last 24 hours, please cancel or reschedule your appointment! I vow to be accommodating as possible! 5. In order to allow for full sanitization and equipment change-over, please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment. If you are extra early, I would ask that you wait in your vehicle until your appointment time. 6. In order to help prevent droplet exposure, I recommend that clients bring their own earbuds so they can jam out their favourite podcast or tunes to limit talking (especially if you do not plan to wear a mask). PLEASE READ BEFORE MESSAGING. Happy 2021 everyone!!! Although the government still hasn’t released information regarding the personal services restrictions being lifted, I am opening a very limited waitlist for 2021 for current clients only at this time.... For 2021, my goal is to prioritize my physical and mental health (no flimsy resolutions, I promise!!) and to ensure that I have more time to maintain balance between work, play, and mindfulness. I recently started my wellness journey this last fall (shoutout to @optifuelnutrition !!!) to not only improve my physical health, but to also better my mental health in concert. As all of my clients know, I have a full-time job on top of my lashing business and, as such, my evenings and weekends can be taken up pretty quickly. While I absolutely love lashing (I truly and seriously do) and getting to spend time with all of my truly wonderful clients (both new and current), I need to take a slight step back to allow more time for me to focus on my journey. 2021, for me, will be the year of balance. I know that we all see the stereotypical New Year, New Me on our various social media appsthat show empty gyms and treadmills used as the newest clothing hanger by February 1st. But that’s not my journey and that stereotype doesn’t align with my goals. Taking extra time will allow for me to be more present in my life and to allow for me to be challenged in different ways. This doesn’t mean that the downsize is forever, but it’s for now. Thank you all so much for supporting me in my craft, whether as a client or a spectator.
