Intake Screens are an economical and reliable system for wildlife protection and debris removal from surface water supplies. Screens filter raw water to be used as cooling water for sites including power, raw water, desalination plants, drainage channels and irrigation offtakes. We specialize in T-intake, drum, shallow water as well as river screens and can create custom designs to meet specific depths and locations. Thank you to Grand River Construction for sending us this picture of horizontal and vertical wedge wire screens that we manufactured for them for the City of Lansing Drying Beds project. We worked with them on this custom job to fabricate flat panels for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Drying Bed. Wedge wire panels are ideal in this type of application as they offer a higher percentage of open area and, therefore, a lower head loss, which helps to increase efficiency, with a sma...ller footprint. Meeting their drawing requirements and exact specifications, panels were constructed with 304L stainless steel which ensures a long lifespan. Get to know Donna, our Sales Manager/Senior Project Manager who has been with FSP for over 12 years! She's the go-to for many to get their project executed as she follows the entire process from quoting to shipment. Many of our customers know her. She also loves the challenge of the job as well as the personal interaction working with each customer on their custom #wedgewire product. #FederalScreen #EmployeeSpotlight
