COVID-19 forced the cancellation of our annual convention this year. Normally it's held at the end of November, and our Alberta Odorant Services division hosts a Christmas Reception at the convention. Without the convention, Alberta Odorant Services instead donated the $4,500 they would have spent on the reception to the MS Society of Canada- AB & NWT Division! Over the years, the Federation has host an annual golf event for the #MultipleSclerosis Society and have raised well over $300,000 for this great cause!

Because of #COVID19, we couldn't hold our annual staff #Christmas2020 party. So instead the staff of Federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops Ltd. and the staff of Alberta Federation of Rural Electrification Associations Ltd. took what they would have spent on the present exchange and donated it to the Strathcona Christmas Bureau! With a match from the Federation we donated $1,070!

Our Member Utility Evergreen Gas Co-op Ltd. donates to the Drayton Area Community Food Bank Society today. This year, we worked with our 80 Member natural gas utilities and co-operatives to help raise money for food banks across #Rural #Alberta. As a Federation, we matched donations up to $250 for our Members donating to their local food banks. Over $12,000 was raised for Alberta's food banks!
