Do you wear compression socks? Or do you put on and take off someone else's for them? Here's something that will make it so much easier ... Sigvaris has made a sleeve called Doff & Donner to make the process more efficient. They're sold individually and you just roll the sock on and off the person's leg. Doff & Donner: It works like a charm and you can order directly from the company. There are also instructional videos on YouTube showing how easy it is to use. And, not gonna lie, I just like saying it lol
So....I finally finished the first blanket that I'd started last November.....and due to some knitting mishaps, it kinda turned into a poncho....? So, yeah, I basically knitted a poncho
Well my beloved clients, I'm happy to tell you that I've finished knitting that blanket I've been regaling you tales about! Granted, it's not perfect but it's pretty awesome. It was knitted with love. (And fortitude. Annnnd maybe a couple swear words lol) AND I didn't miss a stitch
It's beginning to look all Christmas-y around here!
I get a lot of clients asking if I took this picture. While I do love photography, this painting (more specifically, a giclèe) is called Washed In Gold by the artist Paul Grignon. When I lived in Tofino, I would go to the art gallery Reflecting Spirit regulary (usually to buy local handmade jewelry) and I saw this painting. Whenever I looked at it, my feet felt cold, like I was actually standing ankle deep in the ocean like in the painting. At the time, I couldn't afford to b...uy it but I would regularly go visit it at the gallery for the following 5 months, hoping no one had bought it. Finally I saved up and bought it. And my feet still feel like I'm standing on the beach when I look at it. *If you recognize the beach, it's Long Beach at Incinerator looking north(-ish) towards town.
I was gifted this funny Christmas tree ornament the other day to commemorate the craziness of 2020! (Who would've thought at this time last year, that this little ornament could speak volumes about the year we've just had!) I hope everyone is happy, healthy and has adequate amounts of toilet paper
This skein of yarn is dreaming of one day becoming a blanket and I'm going to help make that happen! (check back with me in 2 years cuz I'm a slow knitter! ) And don't worry, I have 4 more skeins.. I was inspired by the blanket that Dean from @1bike1world on Instagram has. He bicycles around the world with Nala, the cat he rescued. That's her in the pictures... My yarn's not the same colour, but hey, what can ya do? Lol
Keep those buns toasty!
