Live from the 'Make-a-wish for a widow' studio. Congratulations to our first beneficiary, Mrs. Maria Muhammed. Maria - a tailor sold her sewing machine to support her husband's medical treatment with hope that when her husband gets well to hustle again , he will replace it . Unfortunately, Mr. Mohammed didn't make it - he died and Maria lost her last hope. As a widow , Maria has been doing menial jobs so she could save money to get another sewing machine for a sustaina...ble income . Maria wished to 'make-a-wish for a widow' a sewing machine through a referral. To the glory of God , Maria didn't just get a semi-industrial sewing machine , but in addition , a 100,000 naira cash to enable basic start-up. Now Maria will be able to provide the basic life necessities for her family and herself. Like Maria , lots of vulnerable widows' wishes will come true by the grace of the God almighty this year. Women have suffered the most- economically with the covid-19 pandemic crisis, especially widows. Today, widows account for a higher percentage of out of school children, higher percentage of children dying of malaria , higher percentage of children living without hope.
