Today is Good Friday. The day of remembering that Jesus was beaten and crucified for our unrighteousness. He followed in obedience to God until His final breath, which we will never be able to do. All of this for the sake of something greater.

Satisfaction in the world comes in created things, but to the believer, satisfaction comes through our Creator and love for Him. Walk in boldness with Him and see the beauty of your life in Christ, for you will find true satisfaction the world simply cannot offer.

Meekness is often thought to be a quiet, passive quality. However, in its original language it is tied to reining in a stallion. When we submit to God’s power, we are choosing to humble ourselves and put God on the throne.

Recognizing our sin can bring a tidal wave of grief. We are called to bring our sin to the light, then allow the gift of what Jesus did on the cross wash over our souls. Allow hope and healing into your life as you recognize your sin and surrender it to the Lord.

Scars can be a reminder of past hurts but we can also look at them with the hope that we are still alive. What scars do you have from past experiences that you need some hope for? Feel free to share your story in the comments.
