As we look back at the year passing, we can't help but feel grateful for everyone's unwavering support during difficult times. We had a completely different idea of how our 20th anniversary events were going to look...and this wasn't it. BUT...2020 was an event in itself and one thing is for certain, people have found their strengths, gave and received support, overcame obstacles and as a strong community are going to continue to help those who have been/are struggling. We a...re hopeful that the new year will bring fresh opportunities to bring our Femsport events back into reality. With all that we have been able to accomplish during a challenging 2020, just think about what we can do in 2021!! ALBERTA EVENT UPDATE ---------------------------------- Okay...so our challenges have been many, but we have some great news. We will be combining both Spruce Grove and Calgary events to take place on AUGUST 22nd, 2020 in CALGARY! All athletes registered for the Spruce Grove event will automatically be transferred to the Calgary date. If you have any questions...email Nancy at [email protected]... Our new format will still be in place but with more athletes permitted within the hour, still keeping within healthy safe rules and regulations. More details to follow. Oh the memories!!!

HELP!! We are working extremely hard to make Femsport happen, however, we have come upon a road-block. We just found out that Alberta will not permit Femsport to have 10 people in one area on or in city property...but outdoor bootcamps of 50 or less are permitted.... So, we are looking for non-city property to allow max 10 people per hour to perform their disciplines. Suggestions anyone!!

HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! This past weekend would have been our first Femsport event of 2020, but because of this unique position we all find ourselves in, it has been rescheduled. ... After doing this for 20 year, it’s a weird feeling, not getting set up for the day, organizing prizes/swag, meeting all the athletes, hearing the cheers from the crowd and watching the celebratory hugs and high fives. The camaraderie and energetic atmosphere that Femsport athletes create will be missed this weekend and I’m sure the athletes feel the same way. Other Femsport events have been put in similar positionsBUTwe are excited to share an alternative solution to move forward with the events while respecting the health concerns resulting from COVID-19. It’s going to be a little different than usual, but still awesome. We are working on confirming some dates, and aiming to have our first event in July, but wanted to share this information with you first so you know what I have been up to.
