Seasons Greetings Fergus Curling Club members and supporters. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Years. As I am sure all of you are aware, we will be entering into another lockdown situation in a few days. These situations can be very strenuous and lonely for us all. The holidays are when we are traditionally used to spending quality time with our family and friends - being social, getting ...out of the house and enjoying each others company. If you are feeling down and need to talk with people, consider using your Curling Club phone book and call some of your former teammates. I am sure they would love to hear from you. Or if you are in need, please call the Crisis number and talk with them. The important thing is to remember we are all in this together and with each other's help and friendship we can get through this once again. The Curling Club and its members are part of a large community and we all share an interest in a great game. We have spent many good times chatting on the ice and in the club room. Let us all try to continue the spirit of the game, even though we cannot be together at the club. Once again, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. In order for the Fergus Curling Club to operate this season, the Board has established two main priorities: 1. Safety for our members and 2. We want current and new members to curl at the Fergus Curling Club this season. In order to meet these goals, we have proposed to do so based on many of the comprehensive recommendations of the Opening Committee, Curling Canada and CurlOn. In order to be financially viable, opening will be conditional upon the number of members making th...e decision to curl. This commitment is needed by November 4th. Our curling season would begin on January 4th, 2021 and run through to April 30, 2021. Each curler will be required to sign a Waiver and Declaration of Compliance prior to taking to the ice. Hello Curlers We have just a week to go in our registration drive. We currently have 94 people registered, but we also have 14 people who have not paid. So really we only have 80 members. We need all 160 (or more) registrations paid in full before Nov 4th, at 7pm. This is when we are meeting to decide about our season. Hello everyone, we have decided to extend our registration until Nov 4th. Leagues are filling fast. There may be a chance that a league may be played on another night due to number of people. This is it, we need 160 people to send in their registration and make payment. Hope to see you all in January.
