The Seguin Trail earlier this week. Don’t even need sunshine when it’s this lovely out there!

Jim and I took the day off yesterday to explore a part of Algonquin Park we've never visited before. The Highland Trail is mostly used by backpackers on a multi-day hike, but its smaller loop around Provoking Lake was just the challenge we were looking for in a day hike. The loop, along with some side trails and detours, worked out to a 21.4 km route. By the end we were tired but exhilarated and in awe of the spectacular scenery. This hike is not leisurely and not for spur-of-the-moment plans, but if it's something you think you'd like to do, talk to us before your stay and we'll give you some info on how to prepare.
