Cam made this stool a few years ago for fun, not really a prototype for another client, but mostly he was goofing around. Who knew he was foreshadowing our future dairy cow ownership? I was afraid to use this stool once I started milking. For one, it is walnut. Slightly overkill for the poop laden stall it is destined for. Two, I thought it might be tippy. But alas, it is sturdy and incredibly comfortable. Milking ergonomics are incredibly important when so much time of your... day can be spent in an uncomfortable position. Coupled with sleeping upright for almost a year with a baby with reflux, and it could make for some bad neck pain. I am thankful for this little stool, @twistertechnology’s quiet encouragement to follow my dreams and his craftsmanship too. I hope to put many years on this stool. That time you discover a pile of old nails buried in the ground in the field your cow is in. I used this magnet to pick them up for an hour and half filled a feed sack. I have more to do and just hope she doesn’t get hurt before I gather them all.
