Alex Conu - LighTrack II - @alexconu Here I am with my weekly astrophoto. For this week, I present you two very beautiful nebulae. In the lower part of the frame, we have M8, The Lagoon Nebula, a huge emission nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius. It can even be seen with the naked eye as a patch of light, close to the center of the Milky Way. In the upper part of the image there's M20, The Trifid Nebula. This object is actually a combination of an open star cluster, ...an emission nebula (the red part) and a reflection nebula (the blue part). Both nebulae are star-forming regions in the Milky Way. Shot with a Canon 60Da through a Pentax 75SDHF refractor. Tracking was done with a Fornax LighTrack II by @fornaxmounts. Clear skies! See more
