Festilight Decor Inc. was started just over 10 years ago, and at the ti...me our primary focus was decorating homes for the holiday season. Over the years the business has grown and blossomed into one of the leading decorative lighting companies in the country, and our focus has shifted from the residential to the commercial arena. We work with clients all over Greater Vancouver, from hotels to business improvement associations to Christmas festivals. Details and basic requirements: Being comfortable working at heights and on ladders is mandatory. You must be comfortable being up in our 45’ bucket trucks, along with 65’ - 125’ boom lifts that we rent for certain projects. Safety is our number one priority, and following WorkSafe BC guidelines is paramount. Experience with this type of equipment is a huge asset, but we are willing to work with the right candidates to train and guide you in developing these skills. Certification in Fall Protection, Elevating Work Platform (Bucket Truck), and Elevating Work Platform (Boom & Scissor Lift) are offered in house. Working in the elements. Rain or shine, snow or sleet; weather happens, especially here in beautiful BC. We provide the gear to protect you from these elements. Installing lights to our exact design specifications. Responsible for the basic maintenance and cleanliness of company property. I.e. Vehicles and tools. Working unsupervised. We love go-getters and get-goers, and there will be high expectations in regards to your performance. Physical Stamina. This is a physical job heavy lifting, light lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, throwing, reaching, and stretching will be involved. Communication. Being a Lighting Installer involves problem-solving, and it is important that we work together to overcome obstacles to achieve the desired results. Communication is the key to success! Mandatory assets: A driver's license with a clean driving abstract A vehicle to get to our warehouse. We are not located near transit. Wage: Starting wage is $18.00/hour, and is negotiable based on experience.

We worked with Limbic Media to install these sound-reactive RGB lights in Waddington Alley in January. The beautiful thing about the Aurora system is that you can change the pattern to any colour palette you want. So, the Lower Johnson precinct has changed them to pink to support healthcare workers on the frontlines of COVID-19. We are in full support of this and healthcare workers around the world!
