Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday. This mild weather has us thinking about the summer and...slopitch. We are starting to plan for the upcoming season and we can't wait to see all of our friends back on the diamonds. I'm aware that a lot of our teams are looking for new bats whether it's through our league draws or otherwise. Below is a Facebook group that offers draws which allows people to win bats and other merchandise from local vendors. I j...oined my first draw last week and won a brand new bat from HR Sports. The draws vary, but typically they will sell around 30 tickets at $11 each. I just wanted to share this with the teams in our league to give you the opportunity to win some new equipment. The 2020 FGSP Season is in the books. I just want to thank all of the players this year. It was a unique summer but everyone involved wanted to play so much that they did everything they had to do to make it work. I want to thank the team reps for organizing their squads this year. Many of you have been in our league for awhile and the job that you do gets overlooked. I want to thank Scott and all the umpires for another great year. There were some public safety concerns this... summer but all of our umpires came back and we even gained 3 new umpires who did great in their first year. I want to thank Buhler (Steve and Chelsea) for all the hard work they do. Especially, the work put in on Saturday morning to get the diamonds playable. I also want to thank Matt, Steph and Erica for helping out in different aspects of running the league. Just a reminder that playoffs start tonight. If games are rained out then we will post on the app as well as Facebook by 5 pm. The call will be made on the field if it's after 5 pm. If we lose games tonight, we MAY have to push playoffs into Sunday. We will look at all options though. Also, reminder about the Brewhouse tomorrow night. We have a bat to raffle off to a lucky attendee. Draw will likely be made around 8ish. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

The 2020 Playoff Schedule is complete. Please note that the knockout round for div 3 starts on Saturday at 11:30 and for div 1 and 2 it starts at 12:45. Please ensure your teams are on site to play at those times. The league app and website will be updated towards the end of next week. Reminder that you cannot bring any outside liquor to Buhler Park or there are very strict penalties which includes your team forfeiting playoffs. Usually, the minimum amount of games for a player to be eligible for playoffs is 6 but this year we have reduced that to 4. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.

The season is winding down and I want to thank all of the teams for doing a great job adapting to the Covid-19 protocol which has made this season so unique. We are now a week and a half away from playoffs which will be held on August 21, 22 at Buhler Park. Please note that our playoffs will be wrapped up on Saturday this year. All teams will still get a minimum of 3 games. The schedule for playoffs should be out by the weekend. We are still trying to organize something at t...he Brewhouse on the Saturday night of playoffs. It may not be as organized as previous years but we'll try to get something fun planned to end the year. We hope that everyone is having a good season and we look forward to seeing everyone at playoffs.
