The purpose of the Team of Teams initiative is to connect our Canadian hockey community. It is an approach to how we are structured, how we operate and how we live our values. It recognizes that we are united by the sport that we love and can accomplish amazing feats while working together.

There are three steps to responsible coaching that ensures both coaches and participants benefit fully in their environments. The first is the RULE OF TWO which allows the training environment to be open to observation, protecting those in vulnerable situations. This can also be applied in virtual settings. #fieldhockeycanadaRCM Learn more: http://www.fieldhockey.ca/safe-sport/responsible-coaching/

We bid farewell to another well-known face on the Women’s National Team, Dani Hennig, who retires as the second most-capped woman in Canadian hockey history. With 200 international matches to her name, Dani has played in over 50 tournaments and never once looked back since proving herself as a big-game competitor. She’s been a natural team leader and has brought the Wolfpack to new highs over the past decade, including a new world ranking and historic silver finish at Lima 2019. We congratulate Dani for her contributions to the program and an illustrious career! Last, but not least, we’re highlighting the changes we’ve made to our high-performance programming and staff. Though national team play abruptly halted in March, we’ve been able to find a few silver linings We thank individuals like Paul Bundy and Hugh Purvis for their long-standing commitment to the organization, and Patrick Tshutshani for his ongoing support to the WNT. We also look to the future with new hires: Andre Henning and Pasha Gadement as MNT Head Coaches, Andr...ew Wilson as WNT Head Coach and Adam Janssen as High Performance Director. The road to Tokyo and Terrassa/Amstelveen will be two exciting stories to follow in the new year. Let’s go Red Caribou and Canadian Wolf Pack! #FHC2020Highlights (5/5)

Today we're taking the time to reflect on National Coaches Week, which recognizes the important role that coaches play and the positive impact they have on athletes and communities across Canada. This year, we launched and gave out four FHC Coach Awards, and introduced the Competitive Development Cohort Program to institute more NCCP-trained coaches for domestic programming. We're proud to support coach education and seek out new leaders in the sport! #ThanksCoach indeed!... #FHC2020Highlights (2/5)

As we begin to look towards a new year full of new opportunities and possibilities, we’re also taking the time to reflect on the highlights of 2020 & all the positives that came out of such a hectic and difficult year. The first of 5 we’d like to showcase is Volunteer Week. The sport of field hockey is nothing without the people who work tirelessly to put together matches, recreational and competitive leagues and countless other initiatives behind the scenes. We thank them and everyone else immensely for consistently giving back and showing us the meaning of ‘community’. #FHC2020Highlights (1/5)
