This stunning peacock embroidered fan has been worked on silk organza with silk threads in the Su embroidery technique. It's also fully reversible with the sam...e image on the back. Su embroidery gets its name from the area around Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. Su embroidery is noted for it's use of silk threads that are often thinner than a human hair as well as producing double-sided images. This form of embroidery has been around for about 2,000 years. This stunning piece of art is made from denim fabric carefully cut and assembled from a variety of shades of fabric. The artist is Ian Berry and this piece is t...itled 'Behind Closed Doors' (it measures 122 by 180 cm (49 by 72 inches). Ian's work can be found on his Facebook page at IanBerry.Art Check the Comments section to see Ian working on another project. Ian's work is so realistic that many people assume it's a blue tinted photograph. Definitely check out Ian's website at https://www.ianberry.org/artindenim #blue #needlework #fabriccollage
