Client bio #1: ACAP Cape Breton! ACAP has a wonderful team, and it's always a pleasure to work with them (I did a contract with them a few years ago too). I am currently there as the Acting Executive Director a few days a week, as their last one stepped away to be mayor! ACAP goes in to the schools to talk about the environment, hosts nature walks, educates local businesses, plants community gardens, gathers specimens and data, rebuilds streams for connectivity and fish health, conducts research, and partners with like-minded organizations (and more). You might wonder why I chose Fiddlehead Consulting as my new name. I wanted something distinctly Atlantic Canadian, despite having clients from all over, I am most proud of building capacity here. Fiddleheads were common where I grew up. It was hard work to pick them, and for me they symbolize learning about that hard work and being self-sufficient.
