Hi Fieldites, We're as sorry as you are that there's no gourmet dinner at Truffle Pigs or fun spaghetti feed at the Community Centre to accompany this important fundraiser for us. But the great deals are still there. So please join us in this fun on-line event THIS COMING WEEKEND, MARCH 18 TO 21.... Note that you have to open an account (easy) with "32 auctions" website before you can start bidding, so why not do that now so you'll be set to go on Thursday, March 18 at noon. We'll see that your purchases are safely delivered to you. LET THE BIDDING BEGIN! Love The Friends of Yoho

The Village of Field 10.06.2020

Hey Neighbours! Hope all is well at your end. With a few days of sunshine and warm temperatures it finally feels like spring may be here soon. Although we certainly wont see any mammoth remains revealed as the snow piles melt, there are many other interesting items revealed, just waiting for a few dedicated pickers to relieve them of their unsightliness . . . and it is Earth Day tomorrow . . . the 50th Anniversary in fact. So, if youre interested in celebrating Earth Day ...in Field, in a traditional manner, grab your rubber gloves, a sturdy bag and head out at your leisure to do an initial early spring clean-up. Take an Earth Day selfie and send it along - well post it on the Village of Field Facebook page and use it in the FRAA 2020 Faces of Field. Want to know more about the history of Earth Day? Check out this interview from CBC Quirks and Quarks. Your choice - listen or read! https://www.cbc.ca//earth-day-2020-the-50th-anniversary-wi The Board is working on a Field way to safely get together for a distance event. Stay tuned! We have time to read these days, and April is Poetry Month in Canada. Special event on April 30 - details her: http://poets.ca/npm/ Field Recreation Advisory Association (FRAA)

Notice from FIELD POST OFFICE Our hours of operation will remain the same (9.30 am to 1.30 pm) until further notice. You might have heard that post offices across the country are reducing their hours (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon) to give staff time to do extra cleaning. It will have meant for us just 2 hours of opening for public and will have brought all of you at the same time in our tiny Post Office. For those reasons, cleaning will be done before and... after opening hours but hours of operations will remain the same. If you are in quarantine and would love your mail at your door, let me know and I can arrange that for you. Stay safe, respect social distancing. Sophie Cas
