Yesterday's bird. We had birds on us all morning. Amazing gobbling.......lots of kms on the boots yesterday. Finally, just before 11 a tom and jake decided to check us out danger close. Taken inside 20 yards. 19 lbs 10 oz. 9.5 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs.

Earliest bird this season so far. 0600 on the nose - 10.5 inch beard, longest spur was 1 1/4 - weight to follow

1053 this morning. Worked a lot of bird's and this one finally stuck his neck out. Congratulations Ian Currins. 22 lbs even. 9.5 inch beard. Spurs at 1 inch and other 7/8 inch. Killed with Kent TK7.

Nasty, wet morning. Hunted a spot where I have a natural blind made under a spruce tree. Kept us pretty dry. 0643 I called in a hen followed closely by a Jake and two Tom's. Dennis Danbrook made a nice shot at 15 yards. 20 lbs 2 oz, 7 3/4 inch beard, one spur 3/4 inch one broken one 1/4 inch. Kent ultimate 12 Ga turkey load. 2 oz 3 inch number 5. No flopping. Watched his buddy beat on him. Fun morning.
