H...owever, vaccinations are ramping up and with warmer weather, everyone's mood tends to brighten. With saying that, FightFit is now selling a limited amount of our new short sleeve hoodies. These new laid-back hoodies-from Canadian manufacturers Jerico-are made from a premium poly/cotton fleece and feature short sleeves with rolled up edges and a kangaroo pocket. Currently, I have 6 mediums, 8 large and 5 extra-large in stock, as supplies were limited for the moment. Dear FightFit members and friends, As the provincial government announces today whether or not the Niagara region will move into the red zone or remain in the grey zone of re-opening-I have decided to remain CLOSED for the time-being. Without turning this into a political fight that no one wins, I have to agree with Niagara region's medical officer of health that this region (in fact, all regions) should open even slower to prevent a third wave of hospital admissions and clos...ures. I don't believe the government is listening to the right people at the moment, and thus, I remain committed to you and all of my member's safety. Please respect my decision even if you disagree (which is totally okay). The studio will re-open soon, vaccines will be more widely distributed and the world will return to a better state of normality. It has been a difficult and trying year-especially for all of those who have lost a family member or friend-so please take a moment to remember them. Right now, I just think we should listen a little more and punch a little less. Dear FightFit members and friends, I am sad to announce that FightFit is closed effective tomorrow and extending until late January. The province-wide shutdown will go into effect as of Saturday, December 26 at 12:01 a.m and I believe may very well be extended into early February (don't be surprised) The safety of my members and your respective families is my first priority. Thank you for your understanding as I wish I could remain open-but alas-I can't.... I will be cancelling next week's sessions for you, and January/February's schedule will be contingent on the Ontario government's response. With gyms and "personal services" now being closed, don't be afraid to contact me at [email protected] to order dumbbells and weighted bars to use in the interim. For a last minute gift or present for yourself, these weights are $2 a pound and delivery is quick. Dear FightFit members and friends, I am enacting a service provided by one of our members to provide a quick and easy solution to a paper attestation of health in order to train. Simple to use-www.testalerts.com-allows companies to conduct safe, contact-free collection of COVID-19 information by employees or visitors and monitor potential virus risks. Members initiate and complete a survey by first scanning a QR code or entering a six-digit PIN in a web-based app on their pho...nes. The app then generates a questionnaire that can be answered digitally at home or in the car before entering the studio. At the end of the process, users receive either a green check and ok to enter notification or a red flag and a do not enter notification. When a survey ends in a red flag, an alert is emailed to FightFit, where your information is kept only by FightFit. In order to protect your silver weights from rust and to fix chips in the paint (which will happen)-our manufacturer is recommending two products (pictured here) that can applied by yourself in a well-venitilated area like a garage.
