It is a night that has a lot of significance and is the night where, as it comes in ahadith, our sustenance, time, health, etc is written for the coming year. It is a night to turn to Allh in worship, and in du’s and recitation. It is also virtuous to fast (nafl) on the 15th day of Sha’bn. ... The management committee of Fiji Islamic Center has undertaken to raise funds and send directly to affected families in Vanua Levu, Fiji. Funds will be send to iCharity Fiji and Macuata Muslim League to rebuild homes. Currently, teams are on ground with essential food items. People need help in rebuilding their homes. This takbr begins from Fajr of the 9th Dhul-Hijjah (Thurs. July 30) and ends at Asr of the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah (Mon. August 3rd). As Salam Alekum WRWB GRADUAL RE-OPENING OF FIJI ISLAMIC CENTER We pray to Allah SWT and hope you all are in best of your health and high Islamic Spirits.... In light of new developments of COVID -19 restrictions on public gatherings, the management committee of Fiji Islamic Center has decided to gradually reopen the Center for regular and Jumah Salah from Friday 05th June, 2020. The following are few simple guidelines and instructions to be followed at all times till further notice: The maximum number of people to be allowed to pray at any one time will be 35 at each prayer hall. It will be on a first come first serve basis. Perform Wudu at HOME, unless necessary to perform at Center. Hand Sanitizer MUST be used before entry into prayer hall. Will be provided at each entrance. All worshipers MUST bring their own prayer mats. Social distancing must be practised at all times. 6 FT distance has been marked inside the Center and MUST be adhered to. Limit physical contact including handshakes and musafah. Elderly, Women, and Children under 14 and those with illness or symptoms are recommended NOT to attend. Wearing of face mask are highly recommended. Please follow any instructions / directions given by officials. Please cooperate with management and volunteers. If anyone is found being disruptive, abusive, or argumentative, you may be refused entry to the Center.
