For the past 36 years, Santas Anonymous has been supporting the Banff & Lake Louise community. We fundraise to help provide financial relief to families and in...dividuals in need during the holiday season. This year, we're doing things a little differently, but we're still helping out where we can. If you are a Banff Access Program Member, have been referred to Santas Anonymous, or are in financial need, please visit our new website to apply to receive a Santas Anonymous grocery card. Applications are now open, and will close on December 4, 2020 http://santasanonymousbll.ca/
Gintong Butil( bigas)was conceptualized on October 16,2020 during our outreach in Red Deer with 17 organizations. It is an offshore outreach in the Philippines to distribute rice to families that are heavily impacted by the pandemic and typhoons "Rolly and "Ulysses". We invited several Filipino groups, institutions and individuals to join and support this initiative. Gintong Butil is an umbrella activity now composed of 46 organizations Canada-wide and keep growing. Individua...l organizations are empowered to manage their rice distributions in the Philippines under the Gintong Butil activity . In these trying times, we need to show our unity as one Filipino-Canadian community supporting our kababayans in our home country. Ms. Alma Armada and me(Jun Cacayuran)are the main organizers of the Gintong Butil, connect with us @ +1-403-497-4483 or +1-403-708-7224 for any inquiries. Salamat! See more

Hello, friends. Magat Dam is one of the largest dams in the Philippines that is used primarily for irrigating thousands of hectares of agricultural lands, fl...ood control, and power generation through the Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant. Thursday this week, more water was released from its reservoir due to continuous increase in the dam’s water level brought by recent weather events including Typhoon Ulysses. Unfortunately, this resulted to Cagayan Valley and Isabela's low-lying towns submerged in floodwater and people losing everything. Their loved ones, worst of all. I am connected to some friends back home that aim to raise money for the people affected by the calamity specifically in the eastern part of Cagayan Valley, Tuguegarao. If you can donate, please do. I will also be donating so if you don't have that much free time to look up fundraising pages, please freely dm or pm me. I will send you my account details and I will transfer all our donations together to them. They plan to use whatever amount they collect to buy relief goods such as drinking water, canned goods and meals, rice, some daily necessity sets, and sanitary items. I will continuously update you of it as well. My home province and nearby provinces will also be eternally grateful for your prayers. These are difficult times. Let's all not waver on our faith. If you need more information about what happened in Cagayan Valley, please click on these hashtags: #CagayanNeedsHelp #CagayanValleyNeedsHelp. Videos and photos shared with the hashtags may be overwhelming to some. May this serve as your trigger warning. Thank you! Stay warm and safe.
