Fill Your Jar 18.11.2020

#tbt to this beautiful fall day at the cabin, when we celebrated Dad's 60th O how I sometimes wish I could hold on to all amazing human moments. We are all just trying to do our best everyday even though it might look drastically different depending on our abilities, mental health, our support system etc. Check in with yourself and others around you on a daily basis, put aside that ego, there is no right or wrong- just a matter how we see and interact with the world around... us. Acknowledge, apologize and accept with compassion to self and to everyone around you anytime confusion sets in. As a coach practice intentional bi-directionality, which means that both individuals are involved in the helping relationship and the helping process. . . . #fillyourjar #coaching #vulnerabilityisstrength See more

Reminder for myself, to always speak, act and feel compassion for other female bodies. As we are pinned against each other at every step, yet know all too well the similar challenges to overcome and barriers to break down. Our fight is deeply rooted patriarchy in all forms not each other : whether that looks like stalled revolution where women have increasingly embraced all opportunities in masculine arenas, but few man have moved toward feminine options. or it could be... the feminine apologetic when a woman's performance of femininity can be a way to soothe others' concerns about her appropriation of masculinity- expectation that female wrestlers have to be tough and sexy and everything else. And the most subtle form being gender policing that we are all intentionally or unintentionally participating in when we respond to the violation of gender rules that is aimed at encouraging conformity. -Lisa Wade & Myra Marx Ferree . . . #fillyourjar #fillherjar #woman #mood #love #inspiration #thursdayvibes #she #her #togetherwearestronger #createandcultivate #compassion #community #wegotthis #woc #hertribe #equality #egalitarian #proud #yycinfluencer #airdriemoms #queens #webuild #coachingtips #coachingonline #selfworth #successmindset #female #smashthepatriarchy #lifteachother

Let's talk about the fine line between ambition and toxic pride. Ambition should speak a better self with intention and direction, lifting others around you along the way. Contributing with strength and participating with humility. Acknowledging that my success looks different than others and that is worth celebrating. Toxic pride speaks to the stubbornness of planning every step, experience and interaction towards self elevation over others. Constant need for comparing a...nd competing to please internal & external doubts and fears. Blurred reality, facts and even relationships revolving around the rat race. When in doubt I ask myself, what does Pepsi ( your furry family perspective) hear when I talk to myself and others? What does Pepsi think of how I treat myself and others? How would Pepsi feel when I neglect my worth over someone else's achievements? . . . #fillyourjar #ambition #toxiclife #intentionalliving #celebrateothers #loveyourself #yourstory #yourpath #pepsi #imisshim

My Dadi was one of the first people to travel the world in our family, in her beautiful sarees just like, no big deal. And then my parents left their home bravely following their mighty purpose our first stop Akron, Pennsylvania then to our second home in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was then when I fell in love with exploring, seeing happiness through others' perspectives, investing in experiences over things and devouring delicious foods. I don't take for granted my freedom and... privilege, to have had so many extraordinary adventures. Alhambra, Spain taught me about the beauty in architecture, when diverse religions and cultures collide. Santorini, Greece provided healing for my heart as I transitioned into a life of independence. Koh Samui, Thailand became a place where time stood captivatingly still with my two best friends. Amsterdam, Holland where my person and I continued celebrating our years of commitment to each other. Rome, Italy is where I learned to thrive on a budget, backpacking, hostels and eating gelato three times a day! . . . #fillyourjar #traveltheworld #growthmindset #coachinglife
