SUPPORTING LOCAL Artists can be as simple as sharing their posts- filomena So many offered to buy this original, someone offered me 7,000.00. I could not part with it. I don’t think I ever will. It’s going to stay in my private collection. ... An Art Affectionato said; do not part with it unless it’s a life changing cheque. For me it’s simply a piece that has so much of me in it. It took forever. Lots of blood (I cut myself several times on the broken glass I adhered to it) lots of sweat and tears. It’s the first painting I did in our new home in Niagara on the Lake. It holds so many sentiments. So it’s not about money. Not at this time. I can still eat and afford our home. I give thanks. A dear friend encouraged me to have it professionally photographed and printed to sell as hand embellished pieces. I thought how will it turn out. I took a chance. Niagara Image Gallery printed it after Jordan carefully photographed it. Took him hours to set up the lighting as there is so much reflection. It came out amazing. Thanks Jordan! I embellished this last one so much it’s actually a new original ... I even titled it for my client. ‘retornando a portugal’ I customized it for my collector. She is of Portuguese ancestry so I added a broken Portuguese clay tea cup and the rooster was from a hand towel. She loved it.
