Remembrance Day Popularly known as Poppy Day. A memorable day in the countries of the British Commonwealth of Nations celebrated annually on November 11. It began to be celebrated in 1919 by order of King George V. The main meaning of the holiday is to honour the memory of the soldiers of Great Britain and the British Commonwealth who died during the First World War.... The symbol of the holiday is the red poppy, which was sung by the Canadian physician and poet, Lieutenant Colonel John McCray in the poem "In the Flangers Fields." Memorial Day, according to Canadian law, is celebrated in all three territories and in six of ten provinces: only Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec are not covered by this law. From 1921 to 1930, the Disarmament Day Act stipulated that a thanksgiving service was to be held on Disarmament Day on Monday, in the week of November 11th. In 1931, the Parliament of Canada passed a law that introduced a major amendment: from now on, the holiday should have been called the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen and all commemorative events should be held on November 11. Official events are held in Ottawa at the National War Memorial. They are led by the Governor-general of Canada. They are attended by the Prime Minister of Canada, various high-ranking officials, the Mother of the Silver Cross and ordinary citizens. A member of the British royal family also has the right to be present: in 2009, Prince Charles was at the celebrations, and in 2014 - Princess Anne. Before the official start of the ceremony, four sentries and three sentries (two at the flag and one nurse) stand at the base of the cenotaph. Then they begin to call the carillon on the Peace Tower, and during this call, representatives of the Canadian armed forces gather in the Confederation Park. Upon the arrival of the Governor-general of Canada, the horn song "Alert" is played and is greeted by the Chairman of the Royal Canadian Legion. Both go to the platform to the sound of fanfare, after which the national anthem of Canada is played. Shortly before 11:00, Last Post sounds, which will mark the beginning of the commemoration ceremonies themselves. Currently, rifle volleys sound and bells ring on the Peace Tower. Various groups of people lay wreaths at the base of the memorial. According to tradition, a poppy flower is pinned to the chest - it is a symbol of bloody battles in Flangers. Canada's largest indoor ceremony is held in Saskatoon. See more

How to write a post about job search on social media Weird creatively If you write a post too funny and unusual, then most likely the employer will not react to it. Everything in your text should be simple and clear: where you worked in the last 2-5 years, what you can, what you want, and what salary you expect. You can add a funny picture if you really want to be creative. School awards Do not write about how many letters you have from school, where you volunteered when you ...studied at the university. All this is unnecessary. Write about 2-3 companies where you have worked in recent years, what did you do, what was useful for the previous company. Post size Don't write too long a post. It's tedious and ineffective. Do not write anything superfluous and personal; it will only hinder the potential employer. Everything should be clear and on-topic. What should be in the post - What kind of job are you looking for (position, responsibilities) - What do you want to do and what not - Briefly about the experience (main achievements) - Salary expectations and basic conditions - Attach links to resume and portfolio - call action Where to write or call - Illustration for the post

Skills you need in a crisis Everything changes - watch it. Due to the pandemic, most businesses are moving online. Some change the specifics of their work. They all need an employee who can quickly adjust and solve new problems. Be flexible and learn to get involved quickly. Creativity You need to be able to think differently. You can help the company to solve problems, and you will be rewarded for it.... New ideas Try to find new ways to solve the tasks and bring them to life. Progress Let's be honest, no company needs an employee that does not develop their skills, but simply "stands in one place." Currently, the most appreciated is the ability to develop, to be proactive. Alternative The ability of an employee to doubt the functionality of something and the ability to prove it logically. Suggest new ideas for improving your workflow. Then you will be appreciated. Calmness Even in the most difficult situations, you need to maintain it. Never lose confidence and self-control. An employer needs employee who can quickly resolve a stressful situation. Less panic, more action. Make a name for yourself This is something that will help you in the future. Employers will always choose a candidate whose name(achievement) everyone knows. Develop, improve and then the future will be yours. See more

How often can you change jobs? The main thing in dismissal from work is the reason. A probationary period is needed by both parties: the employer and the employee. 2 - 3 months is enough to understand if you are suitable for each other.... First, it’s okay to leave on probation. Everyone has the right to choose. In most cases, a salary is a strong motivator for dismissal, but not the only one. This is individual for everyone. The second reason is the team. Not always people can work together. It depends on many reasons. Working in a team where you don't need to feel uncomfortable is bad for your health. The third reason is that you have outgrown this position. You are no longer inspired by work, you want something new, active action. You know your value and want to develop. For different positions - different rules A waiter can change jobs several times a year. Everyone understands that they are looking for better conditions. A developer needs to change jobs (teams) every 2 - 3 years in order to be in a trend, to keep up with all the new products. For a manager (supervisor), a long term of work in one company and a field is important 3-5 years. This will show that he knows how to lead and has sufficient knowledge in one area or another. It is believed that the average duration of work in different positions is 3-5 years. But the choice is always yours.

What do I need to ask an employer in an interview? Please tell me how everything works with you ... You can ask a good question about the processes - as everyon...e knows, there will always be something that you did not have time to talk about during the interview. This will demonstrate your interest in the work and all its "pitfalls". Who do I have to work with? Knowledge not only about the company but also about its employees would be very useful to you. So do not hesitate to ask who you will be working with, who will be your boss and who will be your subordinate. Ask if there are any special planning or work plan that will need to be completed in some time. All this knowledge will help you in the future. A very good question would be a question about the company's website. Say that you studied the site about the company, what interested you the most, may surprise. Also, tell us if you found a company on social networks. This will be a big plus for you, as it will show HR your genuine interest in working for this company. Clarifying questions are always winning. They make it clear to the employer that you are listening carefully, follow the thread of the conversation. They also show your genuine interest and composure both in the interview and at work. This makes it clear that you are a great, qualified candidate. Inconvenient questions ... It's almost always awkward to ask a salary question, but you need to do it for yourself first. Do you want to work like an underestimated skilled worker? Don't hesitate to ask about the workday, lunch breaks, or vacations as well. It is best to leave such questions at the end of the interview. You don't want to scare off the employer, do you? All of these questions summarize the previous conversation perfectly. It is important for the employer what questions the candidate asks. The more you are interested in the development of the company, its features, the more you show your affection for the company. Asking questions at the interview is a big plus for you, since not only you are chosen, but you also choose. Come up with a list of questions for the next interview: see what salaries for a particular specialist, study the site and think about what information you are missing. This will make it easier for you to understand if the company is right for you.

A History of Labour Day Labour Day the first Monday in September, has been an official holiday in Canada since 1894. The origins of Labour Day came from April 15, 1872, when the Toronto Trades Assembly organized Canadas first significant demonstration for workers rights. In this case, it was the movement to establish a 9-hour workday instead of the usual 12-hour. Ultimately, Prime Minister John A. Macdonald passed the Trade union act, which protected and legalized union a...ctivity in Canada. Traditionally, many parades, games, and picnics were organized by the unions. People have actively participated before the Second World War. Nowadays, most people see Labour Day as an opportunity to rest and to take a summer trip to the country cottage or enjoy the company of family or friends. For students, Labour Day is the unofficial end to summer and the start of a new school year.
