February numbers are here! And the low rise #Toronto market continues to impress with tight inventories and YOY price increases. It’s a very interesting contrast to Feb 2020 pre-pandemic conditions: prices for both, semis and detached, have increased compared to last year even with lockdowns and low immigration numbers. In a nutshell, the low rise market remains strong with no signs of stopping . Condo prices went down 6% compared to Feb 2020. However, number of sales have skyrocketed the past two months . Investors are seriously taking this opportunity with larger inventory and lower prices to snap mostly smaller units (1 and 1+1). Toronto’s real estate market was anything but cold in January. While the low rise market is still hot, the big story is the condo market. Investors taking advantage of the current inventory, generating a whooping 86% increase in the number of sales for the month of January.
