I strive to have as much faith in God as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego that even in the amidst of being threatened to be burned alive they would not deny their faith in god and had faith that God would save them. ... This month we remember Passover, where the Lord asked the Israelites in Egypt to mark their doors with the blood of an unspotted lamb. Exodus 12:13: "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt." Because of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, we can also be saved and passed over by the destroying angel. Because of the Bloo...d of Christ we can be saved. All those negative thoughts, feeling and all that pain has gone far away from my life. After doing prayer that positive feeling and that love and care from God make me believe the power of God. But I am also grateful for the beautiful outdoors. I love our mountains and the privilege I have to hike, bike, kayak, and ski in these mountains- almost weekly. "As a non member of the church, I had many questions about The Book of Mormon when I first started dating my fiance. I grew up with parents who did not have any religious beliefs, but allowed me to attend a Christian church with my friends at the age of 14. Something about going to church really inspired me. I continued to attend that church on my own for about 3 years. After going away to college and becoming busy in my young adult life, I had stopped going to church and di...scontinued my learning for about 3 years. After moving back to my small hometown, I started going back and was baptized in the Evangelical Free Church. Though, I felt that something was missing. Many questions I had were left unanswered and made me feel incomplete. That was the case up until now. I started dating my now fiance about a year and a half ago and when I found out he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of course I had many questions. He hadn't been attending for a couple years and was not able to answer all of my questions so we sought the help of his mom (who is married to a previous bishop in the church). She was able to help with most things I was questioning. But I felt like I was still missing something. Then one day I recieved a facebook message from a Sister missionary (Sister Inisi) asking if I would like to hear a message. I talked to my fiance about it and he told me that she would be a big help in answering my questions and I should listen to her message, if I felt comfortable. I accepted her invitation to learn more and started gaining the answers to all my questions! It was truly a gift from above. Everything I wanted to know was being handed right to me and the feeling was miraculous! Since meeting with the sisters and elders I have been shown the love of Jesus Christ and all the good things the Book of Mormon has to offer. It taught me how to change my life for the better, how to be a better parent and spouse and has continued to teach me to love my God, Jesus and the Holy ghost. Without this message I wouldn't be the person I am and continue to be today."
