Did you know that not only are we a fishing resort, but we host leadership programs for youth!? From September 8-12, 2020, we collaborated with Grand Council Treaty #3 to host the Ogichidaa/Ogichidaakwe Youth Leadership Camp. This camp was for the individuals from Wabauskang, Eagle Lake, Wabigoon and Lac Seul First Nation. It included water safety training, understanding your treaty rights, cultural teachings and water-based traditional activities, games and prizes! During the Red Lake #fire49 a big project was completed. Thank you so much to everyone who helped reshingle the roof of cabin #1. The guys worked hard to get the shingles off, and unfortunately the bad weather hit, and they had to be finished for the day. The guys were up bright and early to finish it off before leaving to go back home! Cannot thank you enough! Huge thank you to... We would like to thank all the organizations that helped out during the Red Lake Evacuation. A big shout out to the Vermillion Bay Lions Club and the Dryden Recreation Centre as they provided the evacuees with food hampers. Thank you to Paawidigong Dryden for donating necessities! Thank you to Carmen Hampe for the chilli and to the Municipality of Machin. Thank you Mayor Gordon Griffiths and Councillor Dennis Peterson for the visit and information, we really appreciate it! ... We may have missed some people, but all we know is that food kept on rolling in. Also, thank you to BackForty Outfitters for providing clothing if needed! Amazing to see the community step up!!

Happy belated birthday Cori Litwin! Glad we could spend the morning with you celebrating by eating ice cream cake! Also, thank you for all your help this week. It was really appreciated! Hope you had a safe drive home back to Red Lake!

We are honoured to have supported our home town of Red Lake during the Red Lake Fire 49. We had a great group of family and friends that equaled to approximately 70 people. We had great meals, lots of laughs, support, team work, hard work and projects to keep everyone busy during these difficult times, but we made the best of it.
