Finnigan's Pub 09.06.2021

Finnigan's Pub will be re-opening on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at 11AM. Ottawa will be in the Orange Restrict zone of the province's COVID-19 response framework. This means we must end service at 9:00PM each night, limit capacity to 50 people, only allow 4 people per table, obtain contact information for all customers and ensure everyone wears a mask when they are not seated in the pub. Please be patient with us while we ramp up our operations next week. We hope to see you beginning next Tuesday.

It is with sadness that I must announce the passing of a member of the Finnigan’s Pub family. Today, at the Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, Collie Lunergan passed away at the age of 73. Surrounded by family members he passed peacefully. Collie was a long time Overbrook resident and and worked in Vanier most of his life. As a manager at both Paddy’s Pub and Finnigan’s Pub he was a fixture in the Vanier community until his retirement. His last wish was to join his wife Diane, the love of his life, in heaven. Our sincere condolences to his children, grandchildren and the rest of his family. Rest In Peace Collie. You will be missed.

Finnigan's Pub 10.11.2020

On October 10, 2020 the Ontario government ordered an end to all indoor dining (for at least 28 days) in the Ottawa area in an attempt to combat COVID-19. We complied and completely closed our pub. Due to overwhelming demand we have decided to open up our patio every day, beginning tomorrow, October 18, 2020 from 11AM to about 7PM (weather permitting). We will be installing two side on the tent (maximum allowed) and installing a couple of propane heaters. The kitchen menu will be very limited until we able to judge the demand. We hope to see many of you this week.

COVID-19 Update We have now returned to our regular hours (11AM - 2AM everyday). We are using a limited summer menu until the COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed. ... The patio is open and with a social distancing we are required to leave 2 metres between tables. Please respect this and do not move chairs between tables. We are able to seat 57 people on the patio while respecting these rules and are restricting seating to six at any one table. We are now open inside the pub as well. The tables have been placed 2 metres apart and must not be moved. Seating is restricted to six at any one table. Effective this week customers are not allowed to stand around while on the patio or inside the pub. You must go to a table and remain seated. We are also required to record the name and phone number of all customers entering the pub (inside and outside). This list will will only be released to a Health Inspector or the Medical Officer of Health. We will not use or share this information and it will be destroyed after 30 days. Masks are required whenever you are inside the pub. This includes trips to the washroom and too and from your table. Masks are not required on the patio. Some people have exemptions from the requirement to wear masks. Please respect their privacy and resist the urge to "mask shame" them. The pool tables are not open and we will not be resuming karaoke until the COVID-19 rules are relaxed. Please don't give staff a hard time for enforcing rules imposed by the government. Their lives would be much easier if they did not have the added rules to follow and they don't want to argue about them. As soon as we are allowed, we will eliminate the restrictions. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
