Still a few spots remaining! Wed love to see you in class... and please share with anyone who might be interested. Thanks very much!
Outstanding! This guy, gets it...
Following are the results of the GC.CAs public engagement on "Handguns and Assault-Style Firearms." Notwithstanding the unavoidable government "wiggle / positioning / confirmation-style bias" in some of the language (although, surprisingly, theres not much of that)... on the whole the results seem thorough and equitably presented. Especially given the significant statistical percentage AGAINST banning handguns and so-called assault-style firearms. In short, if the government is going to try and use this dataset to help support a firearms ban of any kind, theyre going to have to start by refuting the findings of their own study.
Thats heavy Bro...!!!
Times are tough out here in Alberta but weve been here before and were still standing strong. Alberta Strong. Be good to each other and hang in there. The worm will turn...!!!
Heres hoping it doesnt come to this. Theyve been "promising" changes since they were elected in October of 2015. There are some election promises that are better left un kept...!
Laws that disarm, disarm only the law abiding...
This is sum good news...
Super cool idea...! Technology, is awesome...!!! Maybe some day... :)
A bit of fun with guns, from a much simpler time. Imagine the fuss if this ad were run today...!?
The number of Restricted Firearms in Canada has doubled in the last decade from 384,888 in 2004 to almost 800,000 in 2015. It should come as no surprise that there are those who feel that fact is "extremely worrisome." While theyre certainly entitled to their opinion, so are we... and we say, Ms. Rathjen, youre 100% wrong.
A little bit of industry news for ya this morning. Do you run a laser on your favorite handgun? It looks like Smith & Wesson would like you to...
This is quite troubling news...
Check out the new Saskatoon Wildlife Federation range. Awesome...!!!
The CFP doesnt collect, or accept fees over the phone. If you receive one of these calls hang up and call the RCMP/CFP at 1-800-731-4000.
Magazines for your Ruger 10/22 with a greater than 10 round capacity: If youve got em... pin em, bust em or dust em. Whatever you do, dont throw them in the garbage without smashing them up first. The RCMP will help you get rid of them if thats what you choose to do. You can reach the CFP at 1-800-731-4000.
Some good advice here. Playing with toys doesnt always mean fun and games.
With one of the highest rates of per capita firearms ownership in the world and a deeply engrained hunting and sport shooting tradition here in Canada, we should take great pride in our outstanding safety record. Great Job...!!! Keep up the good work...!
Please have a look at the following article. In particular if you live in the Calgary, AB area, but everyone should take note. Buyer beware...!
Revised wording of the RCMP notice regarding the passage of Bill C-42. Also included in the first comment, a screenshot of the original post, removed and replaced sometime in the last 12 hours or so. Page is back up, with different text. http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca//bul/bus-ent/20150619-91-eng.htm
Its very "early days" yet, and there are a number of questions that need to be answered regarding the specific implementation of various aspects of the new law, but Bill C-42 received Royal Assent today, June 18th, 2015. As we learn (and understand) more... well keep you posted. http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-p/notice-avis-2015-06-eng.htm
Just got back into town yesterday from Norman Wells, Northwest Territories... ran the biggest Non-Restricted and Restricted classes in the towns history. 35 new PAL applicants in two days...! Thanks to Randy Rose and the awesome folks in Norman Wells for their outstanding northern hospitality. Well be back up there later this year to do it all again... #GreatWhiteNorth
Weve still got a few spots left in the Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course running on Sunday December 7th, 2014 at the north side Cabelas... the Saturday class filled up so quickly that we needed another date! Please give us a call at 780-919-0399 to get registered. Thanks...!
More encouraging news regarding changes to firearms regulation in Canada. Once again Minster Blaney brings renewed meaning to the words "common sense."
Weve only got two spots remaining in the Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course at Cabelas North on Saturday August 2nd. Please give us a call if youd like to register or if we can answer any questions that you might have. Thanks! Canadian Firearms Safety Courses
Some good news on the legislative front was announced by Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney on Wednesday. Its not often that the terms "common sense" and "legislation" go hand-in-hand when it comes to firearms regulations, but the new Common Sense Firearms Licensing Act that the CPC will table this fall seems poised to beat the odds on that score.
