A St Thomas Firefighter stretches a supply line to a hydrant from Ladder 9 at a large natural gas leak today.

On July 3rd, Brooke Fire Rescue, Alvinston & Inwood Stations were toned out for a possible structure fire on Elgin Street in Alvinston. On arrival, no smoke was visible until entry was made. Watford Fire Departments RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) was requested no longer than 10 minutes after arrival. Crews performed overhaul and ventilation after knocking the fire down and cleared scene an hour or so later. Great work by crews on scene. @ Brooke-Alvinston, Ontario

At roughly 17:30 hours yesterday evening, London Fire Department Stations 1, 2, 5 & 7 were called to Hyla Street for a reported fully engulfed shed fire. On Engine 2’s arrival, heavy flame and smoke were showing from the shed & crews started an attack. The fire was knocked down quick, another great job by LFD crews.

May 4th is International Firefighters Day. International Firefighters Day was created in 1999 after the deaths of five Australian firefighters who lost their lives helping others. It was made to show support to the lives lost and dedicated to firefighters who risk their lives every day to save life and property. I have been photographing/filming fire departments all over Ontario for nearly four years now. I never do it to harass them, try to get them in trouble, or disrespec...t them, I do it to show the public what these brave men & women go through on a near-daily basis. The amount of respect I have towards firefighters is immense, hence the reason for this page. Fireguys235 will always continue this page to continuously show the public what they face. To you from me, thank you all for your service. The bravery you all have is amazing & thank you for always protecting your communities.
