New Menu Feature - The HOBO | Crispy fried chicken, peanut butter, honey butter, lettuce, onion tangles, carrot habanero, and lots of pickles. This is another one of those times where you’re just going to need to trust us

The best thing about being from the Kootenays is we’ve been training for an April patio season our entire lives. As Jordan demonstrates, you don’t need to own a Patagonia or Arc-teryx puffy to stay warm - just throw on any old thing and get down here. Also, check out Jesse’s gnarly Warrior Wolftail. We know it’s just a ponytail but try telling him that!

Buttercups, lady’s-slippers, and patios are springing up everywhere. Soulfood Farm to Table The Heid Out Restaurant and Brewhouse Sakura Sushi and Grill and more have been working their heinies off to get their patios ready so you can enjoy the basic human right that is a beer in the sunshine. Make sure you show them some love! As for FH, our rooftop patio is open any time the sun is shining ... See you soon. See more

Got plans tonight? This will be a night of questions and stories about surviving, maybe even thriving, in the midst of all this craziness. I’ll talk about some of the stupid things we tried and failed at, some of our home runs, and how we keep spirits high and glasses full. Click the link at 8PM to check it out! - Jesse, co-owner, Fire Hall Kitchen & Tap and Cranbrook Arby’s

$35 Nachos!? Perfect for people who like nachos and have an extra $15 to spend ;) Grilled NY strip steak, confit garlic, avocado, grilled red onion, and jalapeno, topped with applewood smoked cheddar and serrano chili sauce. Worth it.

Rollercoaster - the most fun you’ll have on a blue. As we’ve seen, life is full of ups and downs. Downs can be scary and full of big rocks, but if you relax into them, and keep your center of gravity, you’ll glide over the bumps you might even have fun. Also, the faster you descend the easier the climb. Rollercoaster Dip: Thin-shaved CAB beef piled on a house-baked curry & caraway marble roll, topped with caramelized onions, mozzarella, and horseradish mayo. Onion-and...-ale au jus to dip. As cruisy as its namesake See more

We took our new MiiR camp mugs out for a test-drive. Our findings: The double-wall vacuum-insulated mug is great for keeping coffee hot and beer cold. The snazzy lid, as we discovered, is great for keeping latte/beer foam out of your moustache.... Summary: If you're into cold beer, hot coffee, and good times, you should probably get this mug. Oh, and don't forget - it's Merch Monday - wear any article of Bunker Gear clothing for $1 off pints. Grab a mug at firehallcbk.ca/shop

Grilled chicken, pineapple relish, blue cheese, bacon, and miso-teriyaki sauce topped with shredded veggies add carrot habanero hot sauce for best results.... As weird and awesome as my friend Spo.

A curious name for a delicious sandwich ~The Devilbird~ Double-decker turkey burger topped with white cheddar, butterleaf lettuce, tomato, serrano mayo (spicey), and spicy Dijon on a buttery pretzel bun. So, why Devilbird?... Chef Doug has cooked so many turkeys in his career that he has a complicated relationship with them. Like, the name could have to do with Devil > Hell > Hot > Spicey, which, thanks to the serrano mayo, the sandwich certainly is, but we’re pretty sure it’s that other thing ;)

There are many ways to build a brand. In our case, we used a chunk of brass and a lot of heat ;) Fire Hall tattoo anyone?

From the bottom of our full, poppy-clad hearts, thank-you. We are closed on Remembrance Day to enjoy our families, freedom, and beautiful country. We remember those that made it all possible. We raise one of these to all of them.

As one old-timer put it while sitting at our bar, You’re not much of a beer drinker if you can’t choke down one bad beer. While we try not to put bad beer on our taps, we understand that everyone’s beer preferences are different. Feel free to ask for a sample or three; we’d way rather help you select the right beer than watch you choke down the wrong one. Ian's (@fhfian) new Winter Taplist has arrived!... Taps 1-10 are core beers and they’re designed to cover the spread of the craft beers y’all have been enjoying. Taps 11-19 are where we do whatever the heck we please. These beers bring face-scrunching bitterness, eye-popping sourness, head-spinning booziness, well-balanced perfectness, and blissful am I in heaven?ness. Tap 20 is our Nitro tap and will be cozying up with Darkside of the Stoke, a Coffee Stout from @mtbegbiebeer of Revy. The best way to explore our taplist is with a Ladder four 5 oz pours of the weirdest, safest, or coolest beers BC has to offer. Winter is here and so is the FH Winter Taplist. Cheers!

Shello, there. We’d like to introduce you to the King of Crustaceans. Lobster Bao is a new appetizer for our new winter menu: Chinese steam buns stuffed with carrot, red pepper, cabbage, and lobster. Topped with ginger sesame sauce and serrano chilis. If the servers haven’t eaten them all, you should totally order this. Bao to the King.
