Almost ready to Rock at the amphitheatre!!

April 6: Some of the larger glass pieces unearthed at the base of a tree east of the dog park. We believed it to be recent vandalism, but it appears the glass ...has surfaced after being dumped there, maybe up to 50 years ago. Most of the glass bottles were very thick, and manufactured by the Canadian Wine Company. Was this was a bottle company that produced bottle glass for several uses? Some of the bottles found were square. The piece in the lower left has a green glass tinge and is the size of a dinner plate. There was a farm on the property before it was Firemen's Park. Perhaps this was a pit for discarded glass, with a tree planted there later. The tree and winter have brought much of the glass to the surface. See more
