Flames from a dash fire in a vehicle will impact the windshield causing it to initially crack. A small hole will then form in the windshield above the fire plume which will increase in size and affect ventilation within the occupant compartment. For more information on Vehicle Fire Investigation training contact us at the Fire Science Institute of Canada. www.fireinstitute.ca or 902-943-0292.
