This is how I do wood bindings. Tail wedge gets installed, then I cut the binding channels. The bindings get bent to match the profile of the instrument, fitting and gluing and finally time to scrape them flush. As you can see it is a lot of hand work, some even cut the binding channels by hand but I prefer to route them.
