PLANT SALE NEXT WEEK! Hey everyone! We are now taking herb plant orders for pick up at the farm. Large discounts available for bulk orders!! Get your order in before 12 pm Wednesday May 6th at the very latest. Prearranged pick up will be available on Sat-Mon May 9-11th only. I know this is sad news for our little community on the Island, but we will be closing our plant nursery ~ for now anyway. As many of you know, the land Fireweed is on went up for sale last summer, spurring some big changes to come about for us. We’ve relocated our seed and herbal product business Ravensong Seeds & Herbals to the Comox Valley. We will not be relocating Fireweed and the plant nursery business. Without a storefront at the new location, we will focus on online sales of seeds & herbal products only. We look forward to offering workshops and retreats on the new land (once this darn pandemic is over). What is to come of Fireweed? Well, the land is still up for sale, and the future of the farm is still unknown. So, as land-leasers there, we are still in limbo. We will have to wait until the land sells to find out if our lease will be renewed for another long-term period. At that time, we are hoping that we will be able to keep the farm and the 7 year established herb gardens thriving for the community. Though we miss our Victoria/Saanich Peninsula community, we are loving every minute of our new life up Island! It is a dream come true to finally be on a piece of land we can call our own. After so many years of upheaval and insecurity as land-leasers, each day reveals the many new joys of being land-owners. Magical things are a brewing up here in Black Creek! Since we will be pouring our energy and love into building new herb gardens on the new property up Island, we may wish to sell Fireweed as a business, or pass the farm operation on to someone else to manage. We will wait and see how it all unfolds when that land finally sells. This may be a great opportunity for someone to carry on the work we were doing on the Peninsula, and get started running their own little herb farm

Fireweed is closed but Harmony and I will be taking plant orders for pick up at the farm in Brentwood Bay. We are taking orders now via email at [email protected]. We will be able to update it when we do inventory the week before the plant sale. If you would like to order plants please email us a list of what you would like. We will get back to you next week to confirm, arrange for payment and a pick up time. We are practicing social distancing so unfortunately won't be setting up the farm shop or allowing customers to browse the nursery. It's just drive-in and pick-up prepaid orders and then drive-out. If you'd like to order seeds or herbal products for pick up, they have to be ordered through the Ravensong website at ravensongherbals.com BEFORE Saturday March 28th. We currently reside in the Comox Valley and will be traveling down Island with the pre-ordered products and will not have access to our stock to fill orders with once we get to the farm.
