We have duck eggs again! Duck eggs are fabulous for baking, and last longer than chicken eggs. They also have more nutrients and a higher fat content. The photo is of a chicken (top left) and duck egg of similar size

Got too busy at the market to take a photo of what I had, but I did squeeze in a dash over to Panos Greek Goodies booth to try their dips. I bought the Tzatziki and Tyroafteri. Wow both were SOOOOO good!!! I cooked up some of our porkchops, chopped peppers and cucumbers with flat bread and ate every piece with the dips. Highly recommend picking some up the next time you come to the market. #comoxvalleyfarms #yqqeats #comoxvalleyfarmersmarket #tzatziki #tyrokafteri #panosgreekgoodies #porkchops

I have some beautiful pepper plants for sale at the moment, good if you can pot them up and keep them in a warm place like a greenhouse until you can get them in the ground (preferably in a greenhouse!)

We have lovely hams for sale! BUT they are big hams. BUT we have some suggestions if you want a ham but not many people to feed this year. One being the countless things you can use ham in from sandwiches, to eating with eggs. Soup is a great way to use both the meat and cook down the bone. Another idea is share the love! Make a wonderful meal you can pack up and share with another family! Hams are $10/lb. PM me for more info or to order one. And yes, this is what we will be enjoying for our holiday dinner!

This was so well written by Theresa I am reposting here. Most people that come to our farm get that raising the small amount of pigs we raise is far from cheap. But sometimes we get comments about it being expensive. This goes into the why.
