"As the young leaders of today, Scouting youth can set a positive example to Canadians by wearing a poppy to honour and recognize the freedom we enjoy thanks to... our Veterans, and those currently serving our country." - Council Youth Commissioner, Kaelem M. On #RemembranceDay and each day throughout the year, #CanadaRemembers. We are thankful for Canada's Veterans who have, or continue to, serve our country. #LestWeForget :: Black Press Media, BC Local News (2019)

Remembrance Day 2020 This year due to keeping our group sizes small, and social distancing, we will not be participating in a Remembrance Day Parade. 1st Abbotsford Scouts has purchased a wreath, and a representative from the Legion will place it at the Cenotaph for us. We are encouraging everyone to stay home, and watch the televised service through the city website www.abbotsford.ca, Wednesday November 11, 2020 at 10:45am. Other ways that we can show our support is by wearing a poppy and/or placing a poppy in your window.
