Thanks to those who packed a shoebox here, or online. These will brighten a child's day on distribution days! Did you know... Shoeboxes will be shipped to Samaritan's Purse centre in Calgary for processing. Shoeboxes from Canada will be sent to El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica in Central America and also 5 countries in Africa ... One of our Church members took part in a delivery trip to Mexico. He reports "I have never seen children so excited..." , and after being on a distribution trip with Samaritan's Purse:Operation Christmas Child: "You will never return the same."

...& this is the day we get to rejoice in, we get to be glad in, that we get to choose radical gratitude. The practice of giving thanksthe daily, intentional *...practice* of thanks eucharisteo this is the way we practice the presence of God, this is the way we stay present to His presence. and it is always a practice of the eyes. We don’t have to change what we see. Only the way we see." Giving thanks to God ushers one into the very presence of God. Literally count your blessings and literally see Who you can count on. "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving" and experience that in His "presence there is fullness of joy" Ps100:4, Ps.16:11 Gratitude will always move you past gates & into the presence of God -- and in His presence is *fullness* joy! There are three small keys to open the door to joy: "Thank. You. God." Joy is always possible as long as thanks is possible -- and there is always, always, always something to be thankful for! Deep breath--it's going to be a pretty amazing day: You get to decide how joyFUL you'll be because you get to decide how grateFUL you'll be. Friends, what are you thankful for today? November 23: Overflowing I’m just thankful for everything, all the blessings in my life, trying to stay that way. What blessings have surprised you, cheered you, and made your heart overflow with gratefulness? Consider these things. I will continue to provide your daily bread. I have given you the greatest Gift of allmy Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose from the grave so you can know Him personally and spend eternity with Him in heaven. In the middle of trials and even persecution, I will not leave you. I am here every day to provide My power and presence in your life. I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Sit quietly in My presence and allow Me to fill your heart and mind with thankfulness. So thank the kid who is trying hard tod...ay to just show up when he wants to give up, thank that mom who fought the heat & fear of failure and got up to face the kids today with this brave smile, thank everybody you meet on a Monday, because everybody who gets up & does their work, desperately needs a thumbs up that their work really matters.
