Remembrance Day is a day to remember to reflect and to honor thousands of Canadian men and women who have served and those who are still serving . Thank you for your services, past and present. Thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Even though this year, things will be a bit different with restrictions across Canada (especially to protect our vulnerable and elderly veterans), we can still celebrate and even though the numbers are smaller (in groups of 50), we can still participate including watching on TV or online, wearing poppies and (no matter where we are) recognizing two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. on November 11, 2020. Lest We Forget

First Class e-Learning would like to wish everyone a ‘Happy Thanksgiving’! We have so much to be thankful for! It is a time to give thanks for food, family and friends. It is also a time to show gratitude for the harvest and for everything that we have, and to count our blessings. As well, Thanksgiving is a time that we should think of others that do not have as much, and to give to them.... Hoping this day holds all the warmth, contentment, and love of a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving for everyone!

First Class e-Learning would like to say ‘Congratulations’ to students in Newfoundland and Labrador and all across Canada, on your graduation day !!! May is typically ‘Graduation’ month for high school students in thousands of schools around the world. This year, in the midst of a global pandemic, things are very different in how students are celebrating and they are doing so in creative and wonderful ways. We believe in you, ‘Grads’ of 2020! You have already accomplished s...o much! Many years of hard work and dedication, friendships that you have built, and lessons that you have learned (not just academic ones) as you have grown to become the person who you are today. There have been fun times and sad times. There have also been challenges that you have met along the way and you have overcome them, as you will in regards to this global pandemic. We wish you all the best in the future! May the years ahead be filled with success, new adventures and possibilities. Follow your heart and your intuition as you move forward to your next path on the road of life. And then things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too Dr. Seuss

Thank you to our ‘HEROES’. This is a very challenging and scary time for people, not only in Newfoundland and Labrador and the rest of Canada, but all over the world. First Class eLearning would like to thank the essential workers at the frontline of the COVID-19 epidemic who are risking their own health and well-being to ensure that other people are being taken care of. These amazing workers are making sure that the necessary medical care is provided for those who need it. ...To the truckers and grocery workers who are making sure that our food supplies remain intact, we also owe our heartfelt thanks, as we do to those workers (eg. police officers, firemen, paramedics) who are ensuring that emergency services are available when needed and that our laws are being upheld. We owe such an enormous debt to you all for your dedication, hard work and courage at such a stressful time . As well, to all those who are doing your part and following the social distancing/self isolation rules that are in place, your compliance is of utmost importance to help control and curb the spread of this horrid virus, thank you! We need to work together and not to slip back when things start to show a slight improvement. Until we receive the green light from our health experts, and our political leaders we must stay the course. We will get there !!! Meanwhile for others who are not currently following the social distancing guidelines, in the words of Premier Ball, ‘Stay in the ‘ouse’, take care of yourself and do your part to make sure others are safe as well! We need everyone working together and following the necessary steps to get through this terrible time and to ensure that our world will get back to normal with the least number of lives lost as possible.
