And yet even though we all have grief, very few of us talk about it. Worse, we do not allow others to grieve around us, expecting a snappy return to "normal" instead. But Jesus knew grief. And Jesus understand grief. Jesus can and will meet you in your grief and support you in your walk.

Happy Earth Day! How blessed we are to live on a planet that was perfectly created by a perfect Creator.

But the correct title should be the "Prodigal Sons," as there were two sons, and each rebelled, and each had the same attitude. Or better yet call the parable the "Lost Sons," as both were lost in their emotions and their own desires. Or perhaps the parable should be called the "G...racious Father Parable," as the Father, who represents God, was loving, kind, gracious and ran to both his boys to bring them home past their own thoughts and actions. Are you a victim to your own "Far Country?" Do you insist on things being done YOUR way? The Father is waiting with healing and love to bring you home too.
